We're Getting Married!

Their story all started when Brian was walking back from school and forgot his keys. With no way to get into his house, he figured he would hang out in Kelsey’s basement to pass the time until his parents got home. They had no idea that little by little, with each hangout, they would fall in love. But let’s take it back further to when they were kids. Brian moved to Weehawken in 2007 when he was 8 years old. Kelsey was 9 years old. They would see each other at birthday parties for mutual friends in the neighborhood, but they didn’t hang out at all. In fact, they didn’t even really speak to each other until he was 13 and she was 14. Kelsey was actually Brian’s bully when they were little not the kind that would beat you up and take your lunch money, but the one that just said you were annoying and tried to get the group of friends to ditch you. Brian was so oblivious he didn’t really realize, but he knew she was kind of a mean girl. As they grew older, they didn’t spend much time together. They had different friend groups and were in different grades. But one day, the stars aligned and Brian had forgotten his keys to his building. Brian had to pass the time, so he hung out in Kelsey’s basement until his parents got home. But on that day, Brian made a best friend and soulmate for life and Kelsey did too. They made it a ritual to walk to school together and walk back home together, getting to know each other as friends. Each hangout brought them closer and closer. They would hang out doing video calls on their Chromebooks, and it was actually on one of those calls that Kelsey finally told Brian that she liked him. They both really liked each other but were both very nervous to say it. The funniest part is that Brian did not take long to start telling everyone that he was going out with Kelsey. In fact, he had not even asked her to be his girlfriend he just assumed that they were together. They started dating sometime in February. They say sometime in February because Brian had never asked her out properly. So, in order to fix that, Kelsey and Brian thought they would make February 14th, 2017 Valentine’s Day, their anniversary because it would help them save money since their anniversary and Valentine’s Day were very close. And that was that. With many years together and everyone always asking the couple, “When are y’all getting married?” Brian finally popped the question on August 26, 2023, in Culebra, Puerto Rico. They have now spent 9 years creating memories together and loving each other and every moment. And here you are, reading our love story, on our website that we poured our blood, sweat, and tears into making. We hope you teared up reading this because our story is cute as heck.
