Question

How can I get to and from the venue?

Answer

You are more than welcome to uber or ride with other people. Please drive carefully and don't drive after drinking. Here is also an option that The Farmhouse Barn uses often. Giddy Up & GO Shuttles 605-484-6592 skphillips@midconetwork.com

Question

Can we bring our own food or drink to the venue?

Answer

No. The venue is not allowing any fluids in that aren't bought at the venues bar. There will be PLENTY of options from wine, beer, seltzers, and mixed drinks all the way to non-alcoholic beverages for the kids like juice and water and sodas. There are two amazing bars at our venue, so please bring cash or card if you would like to purchase anything (we recommend cash). The alcohol is pretty cheap, and we will have a small load on the bar so you can enjoy 1-2 drinks on us. We will be having someone cater the wedding as well. If you have younger children, please think about bringing snacks for them. There are plenty of bathrooms and private places, and we ask that if you need to breastfeed you do so privately away from all visitors. There are bathrooms that are comfortable, as well as opportunities to go out to vehicles. This is a public facility, and we want everyone who comes to feel comfortable and welcome.

Question

Can we smoke or vape at the venue?

Answer

No. Anyone doing so can be removed from the venue's location and potentially charged with a fee from the venue.

Question

Can I bring a plus one and are kids allowed?

Answer

If your guest's name is listed on the invite or you have a plus one option listed when you RSVP, then yes! Otherwise, we would love to keep the wedding as intimate as possible with our friends and family. Kids are absolutely allowed. Make a fun trip out of our day! Please let us know if you want to add a person to the wedding list after RSVPs are sent out or reach out to Trevor or myself via social media. We don't mind accommodating as long as we are made aware of beforehand. We are excited to see everyone on our day!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our wedding venue is in an adorable barn, and we kindly just ask that guests dress nice yet still be comfortable. We ask that guests refrain from wearing any white or Cream. Please note that the ceremony is outside, and heels may sink into the grass or dirt. Please also note that according to the weather, every past June 14th in SD have shown to be in the 70's and 80's, so please dress according to the weather. We have a venue that allows for our ceremony to be held both indoors and outdoors. We will make that call accordingly.

Question

Where can I find a gift registry?

Answer

We wanted to let you know that your presence is the only gift we truly need. We have chosen to partake in creating a wedding registry and want you to know it is completely optional. We do have a honeymoon fund listed on the registry page for those that feel a gift is necessary, but again it is not! We think experiences are much more valuable than tangible objects. There will be space at the wedding for gifts and cards as well. We want our dream wedding to feel like a vacation for all our guests.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are thrilled to have you join us for our wedding day and wanted to let you know a special request for our ceremony. To help us keep the focus on the love and commitment we are making to each other we kindly request you do not use your phone during the ceremony and please turn all phones on silence during the ceremony. At the Reception, which will be at the same location, you are more than welcome to take pictures just not professionally. We have an amazing photographer for that reason. We would love to see everyone's pictures so if you do decide to take any please feel free to share!

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking at the venue. Please arrive 15 minutes early to the ceremony. Please be cautious of kids running around and other drivers.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be held outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting. The reception will be inside the barn with plenty of places to sit. There are heaters and AC in both the barn and the bathrooms. Please think about bringing shoes to dance in and a coat to wear at night or in case it rains.

Question
