It is finally happening and we are so excited!

This day forever changed our lives that is for sure! We met the night of my big brother's and my sister in laws wedding rehearsal! Needless to say we spent that night up late talking about anything and everything. The next day he was my escort in the wedding and we spent the evening enjoying each others company and he kept feeding me captain and cokes the whole night, that may have something to do with it, now that I think about it! No, but seriously I was head over hills and knew that this had a huge possibility of leading somewhere! We had our official "First Date" a week later on October 3rd, 2009, and started dating then as well! The next week later, his family was having a small get together at World's End State Park and he invited me to go with, I was nervous as all get up because I would be meeting all of his family! Granted, he technically already met mine when he met me, so this should be a piece of cake, right? Nerves aside and meeting his whole family, we had a gorgeous day and I knew I was falling in love with him quickly! His family especially his mom loved me instantly but who wouldn't? I could write a book but we will end this here!

Every girl dreams of this day, most expect and want something flashy and fancy. I am no exception and dreamed of this for ten years, and as you all know it finally happened! As everyone knows I am not big on being the center of attention so a big to do out in a public setting is not how I ever saw him proposing. Thankfully it is not! He proposed one night while we were babysitting our wonderful nephew. He was holding Liam as we were getting him ready for bed, and said "Hey babe take Liam he has something he needs to help me with." Matt got down on one knee (as he was fumbling around in his back pocket, (nervous as all heck I am sure) and he asked if I would marry him, he said " You have not ran yet and if you would I would come after you." My brainiac response right before this statement was, "What are you doing?" Of course all of this came as a shock and I had no clue and was not expecting it! It was just perfect for us and so special! Of course I obviously said yes or you wouldn't be reading this right now! The best part was how I finally told my mother a day later. We were over for dinner and had been there a good half hour or so, of course I had my ring on and in plain sight. She picked up her new purse off of the chair so we all could sit done to dinner and said "See I got a new purse." My once again quick wit and brainic response yet again was, "See I got a NEW RING." Of course, my mother lost it and asked why didn't I say anything?
