FAQs

The Wedding Website of Julia Ramer and Ryan Flores
Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

We are getting married at Oakleaf Cottage in Trenton, GA, just 20 minutes outside of Chattanooga, TN. The exact address is 6979 GA-136, Trenton, GA 30752

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Think cocktail attire! Dresses, jumpsuits, suits, or dress shirts + slacks all work great. LADIES! Since our venue is outdoors in the woods, we highly recommend block heels, wedges or flats. Please no denim, no sneakers, and no white!

Question

How do I get there?

Answer

You’ve got options! Turn it into a road trip and drive (carpooling encouraged), or hop on a flight. You can fly into Atlanta or Nashville, rent a car, and enjoy the roughly two-hour drive to Chattanooga, or fly directly into Chattanooga and rent a car from there.

Question

Do I need a rental car?

Answer

Yes, we recommend having your own transportation, as rideshares and taxis are limited near the venue.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

While we've opted not to reserve rooms at a specific hotel, most guests will stay in Chattanooga (~25 minutes from our venue) or book a mountain cabin. We’ve listed some recommended hotels in the "Travel" tab above.

Question

When should I arrive on wedding day?

Answer

Guests are kindly encouraged to arrive at 4:00 PM, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 PM. Guests should plan to be seated and comfortable by 4:30 PM.

Question

Is this a child-free wedding?

Answer

Our wedding will be mostly adults-only due to the nature of our mountain venue and its rocky terrain. That said, babies under 2 who are not yet walking and will be carried are welcome, as are older children over the age of 11 who can sit and remain supervised for extended periods of time. For everyone’s safety, young children who are able to run freely are not permitted. We truly appreciate your understanding.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Plus-ones will be clearly indicated on your invitation. If your invitation lists both names, or includes “Your Name & Guest,” you are welcome to bring a guest. We kindly ask that plus-ones be a spouse, long-term partner, or someone you know well, rather than a new or unfamiliar date. Thank you for helping us keep our celebration intimate and personal.

Question

What's the parking situation?

Answer

Oakleaf Cottage does have a private parking area at the base of the mountain. Guests can expect to park in this area and be driven by shuttle up to the venue. However, due to size constraints, we ask that guests carpool as much as possible.

Question

What's the weather like?

Answer

October in the area is typically beautiful—pleasant during the day with cooler temperatures in the evening once the sun goes down. While we’re hoping for dry weather, the venue does have a rain plan, and the celebration will go on as planned, rain or shine.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are not registered at any stores. For those who wish to give a gift, we would be grateful for a contribution toward our honeymoon and future adventures together. Cards with a nice message are also greatly appreciated!
