We’re getting married

We met at work 6 years ago. We both were working at FedEx. We made nothing but eye contact for a whole year (I had a crush on Matthew) before even saying hey to one another. It wasn’t until our slides moved next to each other that we finally spoke. Numbers were exchanged and conversation started. Funny thing is when first started dating we both agreed that neither of us were looking for anything serious. Now 6 years and a baby later we are ready to tie the knot.

Matthew and I recently had Addison on 02/19/2018 and decided we wanted to get her dedicated at my church Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church (MBCC). The weekend the church was doing baby dedication fell on my birthday weekend. Matthew had been out earlier that week looking for a birthday gift for me. On the morning of my birthday when he got off work he brought me some balloons, a card, and flowers. He explained to me that he was sorry he couldn’t get me more and the gift he wanted to get, he could not find. I told him it was okay and that I appreciate whatever he got me. His sisters-in-law Erica, and her kids, came in town that weekend for the dedication. We went to church Sunday morning for Addison’s baby dedication and the service was great. After church, as we were leaving, everyone decided to take pictures. So as we stood there taking pictures, Matthew looked at me and began to get down on one knee (Addison just smiled as he did this). I was completely surprised and happy at the same time. He asked and of course I said yes!
