Alambamento is a beautiful and deeply respected Angolan tradition, often described as a family introduction and bride price ceremony, but it's much more than that. It represents the official union of two families, not just two individuals.
Please read before you RSVP !!! As we prepare to celebrate one of the most meaningful days of our lives, we ask that all who join us honour the values upon which we are building our marriage and future family: respect, kindness, unity, and love. Our Introduction will bring together family and friends from different backgrounds, cultures, and languages, a beautiful reflection of who we are and the life we are creating together. Because of this, we kindly ask that every guest arrive with grace, warmth, and an open heart, contributing to an atmosphere of peace, joy, and genuine celebration. If you do not feel able to embody these values, we respectfully ask that you reconsider your attendance. Our desire is to be surrounded only by those who will add to the love, harmony, and beauty of this moment. With love and gratitude, Sara & Danya
Your physical invitations will be mailed the week of May 18th. To ensure yours arrives promptly, please verify that your current mailing address is accurate in your wedding details.
Your confirmed flight ticket will serve as your final reservation. We kindly ask that you RSVP only once your attendance is certain, as we're thoughtfully preparing all arrangements based on confirmed guests. Please note that July 15 is the final date to RSVP.
Due to the intimate nature of our celebration, we're able to accommodate plus ones only for guests who have been formally included in your invitation. We've carefully curated our guest list, so we won't be able to extend invitations to additional guests beyond those we've communicated in advance. We truly appreciate your understanding.
We're delighted to provide traditional family fabric for all our guests, which you're welcome to have custom made into an outfit of your choice. The bride's family will receive pink fabric 🩷, while the groom's family will receive blue fabric 💙. We kindly ask that you wear your creation in honour of our celebration.
Ladies must wear full-length dresses with no slits or visible legs. This dress code is strictly enforced, and guests who do not comply may be asked to leave. Thank you for your understanding.
