We met in our capstone class our Senior year of college at Texas Tech University where we were both studying advertising. Jordan was the lead account executive of the group and she purposefully picked Hayden as her first round choice to be on her team. Hayden had his eyes set on Jordan the first day of class when he walked in and saw her wearing cowboy boy boots and a pink camo hat. We remained close friends and both moved back to Dallas for work after graduation. Eventually, Jordan assisted in Hayden obtaining a job at her same company. We grew even closer and eventually started dating after a date to a Rangers game together and soon after, a romantic date night watching the Lakewood Fireworks Show. And the rest was history!
We absolutely love spending our Summer together in South Fork, Colorado riding ATVs, fishing, panning for gold, hiking, horseback riding, relaxing on the back porch listening to the river and the list goes on. We made our annual Summer trip that was planned around Jordan’s birthday, August 17th. Hayden planned to propose to Jordan on the 16th, but all did not go as planned. He tried encouraging Jordan to shower as he planned to film it and knew she would want to look nice. Her response was, “Why would I shower in the middle of the day when we’re about to head right back out on the ATVs and get dirty again?” Hayden then went with plan b and he proposed on Jordan’s birthday just before he was about to take her to a nice dinner. He was certain she’d be looking nice then. Hayden got down on one knee and proposed at Tooksberry, on top of a boulder that hung over the side of the beautiful south fork of the Rio Grande River. This spot is a special spot to them and is where Jordan once told Hayden, “I wouldn’t be mad if you proposed to me here.” Jordan said, “Yes!” and “Oh my gosh!” repeatedly.
