Like many modern love stories, ours began with a swipe on OkCupid. What started as a simple connection quickly grew into something tangible, drawn together by our shared upbringings, a love for travel, music concerts, and an undeniable spark we couldn’t ignore. On our first date, the conversation flowed so effortlessly that we didn’t even notice the restaurant closing around us. Somewhere between all the talking, laughter, and curiosity... we even tried frog legs. Yes, frog legs, because love sometimes inspires you to try new things. From there, the adventures kept coming. Our very first trip together? The International Boxing Hall of Fame. Nothing says romance quite like gloves, grit, and a shared passion for the sweet science. We also bonded over discovering and attending concerts by legendary artists like Maxwell, Nas, and Coldplay, as well as rising stars such as Durand Jones, Kelly Finnigan, Aaron Frazier, Thee Sinseers, and The Altons. Music became the soundtrack to our relationship, filling our journey with unforgettable memories. Our love grew as we navigated new cities, enjoyed rounds of boxing and dessert, and danced at concerts - we found joy in every moment spent together. The proposal came during a family cruise celebrating Vladimir’s parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. Surrounded by ocean views, laughter, and generations of love, Vladimir asked and Fina said yes. One of our favorite coincidences? Fina comes from a family of two parents and four daughters, while Vladimir comes from a family of two parents and four sons. Clearly, the universe had a sense of humor and maybe a plan. Now, we’re stepping into this exciting new chapter and couldn’t be happier to share it with you all.
