Morgan's mother, Beth, plays in a rock band on the weekends. Back in 2009, Beth's band, Sweet Justice, just happened to get grouped into a show with Phil's old band, Proverbial. Back then, Phil was about 22 and Morgan was 16....Needless to say, Morgan's mother still went home and told Morgan about the amazingly animated and talented vocalist and key player she met that night. A few years went by and amazingly it happened again. Proverbial and Sweet Justice were scheduled to play the first Bacon and Beer Festival in Richmond, VA. Morgan happened to be moving home from college the week before and was curious to hear Proverbial. The day of the festival came and Beth ended up talking to Phil in particular due to a common band technicality. We're not sure how, but Beth suddenly asks Phil in the middle of conversation his age. Then she proceeded to tell him about Morgan and how she was going to be there later that day. Rod, Morgan's step-dad, joined their conversation and flipped out his long accordion wallet full of pictures of Morgan. Later on when Morgan arrived, Phil found her sitting in the back of the band truck with one of the band members kids. The kid was messing with a bug inside of the truck, so Phil "saved" the bug, which got Morgan's attention. It was a really hot day and both of them were looking for an excuse to get to know each other more. So they took a walk up to the store for some water. Phil invited Morgan to the Proverbial house for the after party. After a few hours at the party, and them not wanting the night to end, they deiced to go out for frozen yogurt. That was 5 years ago.
