Best Man
From the moment we stepped on the field together for the first time at Brock, I knew this guy would become a lifelong friend. Both of us making the soccer team and being rookies together only helped our friendship to grow, so much so that we spent 4 years being roommates. George has always been the kind of friend who is there for everyone who needs him, and I couldn't be happier that he said yes when I asked him to be my Best Man.
Maid of Honor
Kristy is the most wonderful best friend a girl could ask for. It's crazy that nearly 13 years ago, I met someone who would become like a sister to me. I've never been scared to face all that life has thrown my way, because I've always had her to support me. From sleepovers to soccer fields and everything in between, we've continued to make the best memories (albeit some we don't really remember) and I truly don't know what I would do without her. She's the Deena to my Snooki, the Monica to my Rachel, my meatball, and I'm so grateful to have her stand beside me on this day, and every day.
Groomsman
Having been introduced to Mark through a mutual friend, we hit it off right away. He became someone I knew I needed in my life, and when you get the chance to meet him, it's not hard to see why. From midnight screenings of Star Wars to taking a few scrapes and bruises for one another, I'm beyond thrilled to have Mark standing beside me in this journey, and hopefully many more to come.
Bridesmaid
Paige and I bonded over our love for cookie dough, icing, and always having Taylor Swift dance parties in her basement, despite what everyone else wanted. She is someone who is constantly ready to go to battle for her friends, and it's that and many other reasons why I love her. I'm so glad that she'll be there on this day with me, probably drinking a rum and diet coke, and probably making me cry with how wonderful of a best friend she will be, and has always been.
Groomsman
If you ever want to be beat in Harry Potter trivia, then this guy is the one to do it. Since I met him in a junior kindergarten classroom at the age of 3, I knew that he would be a great friend, but he turned out to be more like family. Jeff is a, don't knock on the front door, hanging out with my parents kinda friend, and I always knew that when this day came I pictured him standing with me, and I'm truly honored that that picture became a reality.
Bridesmaid
T is my oldest friend, and if I tried to list all of our memories here, I'd run out of space. Ever since first grade, if I was sitting in the principals office, she was sitting right beside me (on the left of course). I've never met someone as adventurous and wild as her, and I wouldn't have it any other way. We spent our childhood playing survivor in her backyard, watching horror movies, and playing fear factor, which sums up how crazy our friendship has always been. I couldn't picture this day without her, and I'm so happy that she'll be with me to laugh and cry with on that day.
Groomsman
I've never met a person more into movies than Matt. When you talk to him about wanting to go see a new movie, don't be surprised when he tells you that he's already seen it (sometimes more than once), and he can analyze and explain it better than anyone else I know. Having grown up without a brother, it's exciting to be able to say that Matt is my soon to be brother in-law.
Bridesmaid
Gray and I have been friends since Grade 7, when I moved to Pickering, and she said "Your name is Amanda too? We have to be best friends." Clearly she knew something I didn't yet, and it was that we were meant to be best friends. Gray is someone I could always go to, to have the serious conversations about life, or the silly ones. She is quiet, yet somehow always knows how to put a smile on your face. She is one of my oldest friends, and I cannot wait for her to stand beside me.
Bridesmaid
Alanna has been the little sister I never had from day one, and from day one she has been the most outgoing, fun, unique person I've ever met. When Alex told me he had a sister, I was ecstatic, but I could never have imagined how much of an impact she would have on my life as well. From listening to Taylor Swift together (and eventually losing our voices at her show) to spending hours talking about moving to London, to simply being her, I'm always in awe of her glowing personality, her fashion sense, and her ability to light up any room she walks into. I cannot wait to be able to officially call Alanna my sister-in-law.
Bridesmaid
Don't ask me to play our Grade 8 flute quartet, because I do not remember it, but I do remember thinking "This girl is insanely cool." Over the years, Megan and I have always shared a love for spontaneity, aka travelling the world, getting tattoos, and breaking out into John Mayer songs. She is always finding ways to make the best out of life, and all it takes is being with her for 5 minutes for her positive energy and glowing personality to rub off on you. I can't wait to have her with me, probably drinking prosecco, on our big day.
Bridesmaid
Kelsey and I met at a Mayday Parade show, and soon found out that we not only shared a love of punk bands, but so many other things. One of the biggest things that made me want her by my side, is her laid back and sweet personality. Kelsey will be the first person to go into mom mode, and help you with anything you need. She is also the first person to be there to give you fantastic advice, and most likely to take your best instagram photo. I am so happy that we met, and it means the world to me that she said yes when I asked her to be part of our big day.
