Some love stories happen in an instant. Ours took twenty-two years. We first met in high school when we were just teenagers. Back then, we never could have imagined where life would take us or that one day we'd be standing together, preparing to begin forever. Life led us down different roads. There were years filled with growth, heartbreak, triumphs, lessons, careers, children, and experiences that shaped each of us into the people we are today. Although our paths separated, they never truly disappeared from one another. Every so often, we'd reconnect—a familiar smile in passing, a conversation on social media, a memory from years ago. Somehow, we always found our way back. At the time, we didn't realize those moments were quietly writing our story. When life finally brought us together again, it didn't feel like starting over. It felt like coming home. From the very beginning, everything felt easy. We became best friends, teammates, and each other's biggest supporters. We laugh constantly, encourage one another's dreams, and somehow make even ordinary days feel like adventures. Whether we're traveling somewhere new, photographing race cars, hiking a mountain trail, or simply enjoying a quiet evening together, we've learned that the greatest adventures aren't about where you go—they're about who you're with. Looking back, it's impossible not to see how every twist, every challenge, and every unexpected turn led us here. The timing may not have made sense all those years ago, but it makes perfect sense now. People often say, "When you know, you know." For us, it felt more like, "When the time is right, you'll find your way back." As we stand on the beautiful island of Saint Lucia, surrounded by the people who have loved and supported us throughout our lives, we're reminded that the best things are worth waiting for.
