Ocean Front Hotels

Atlantic Avenue, from 1st St. to 40th St., is right on the famous VA Beach Boardwalk and prices range from $150 - $600+ per night. We usually like going towards the North End of the boardwalk area.

Town Center Hotels

Town Center is another hotel area option that is close to us. The Westin, Hyatt and Hilton Garden Inn are all nice and close to shopping and restaurants.

Train

Amtrak- New York

Amtrak's Northeast Regional Train departs from Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station (NYP) and will arrive at the Norfolk Train station, about 20 minutes from our house. The ride will take about 8.5 hours, and the train has Wi-Fi and a cafe car.

Amtrak- Pennsylvania

From the Pittsburgh or Harrisburg Amtrak Stations, you can catch the Keystone train to the 30th St Station in Philadelphia. From Philadelphia, you will board the Northeast Regional Train to Norfolk, which is about 20 minutes from our home. The trains have WiFi and a cafe care, and from Harrisburg, the fastest time is about 9 hours.

New York Flights

Delta, American and United all have multiple non-stop flights from LaGuardia, JFK and Newark to Norfolk (ORF), which is about 20 minutes from our home.

South Florida Flights

Miami has non-stop flights to Norfolk (ORF) on American and Spirit. FLL has non-stop flights to Norfolk on Spirit. All three major south Florida airports have flights with connections to get to ORF as well. If you decide to fly Spirit, just be aware of the additional bag fees and upgrades that can get pricey. It's a no frills airline, but if you travel light, it can be a deal and get you here quickly.
