Our story is based on La folle journée, ou le Mariage de Figaro by Pierre Beaumarchais in 1778. Our story was so beautiful, Mozart set it to music and turned it into an opera in 1786. We both are servants for the Count. This opera tells how we, Figaro and Susanna, succeed in getting married, foiling the efforts of our philandering employer Count Almaviva (who is trying to seduce Susanna). We do teach him a lesson in fidelity.
