We are working with our venue to ensure the safety of our guests. Be prepared to bring and wear a mask. If you are feeling ill leading up to the wedding or have been exposed to someone with the virus, please stay home. Most of the wedding activities will be taking place outside to allow for social distancing. Please wear a mask during the ceremony and reception unless eating. We will be providing hand sanitizer and color coded ribbons to pin on your lapel or tie to your wrist to indicate your comfort level. Green: High fives and handshakes. Frequent hand sanitizing or hand washing. Yellow: Elbows only. Still being cautious. Red: Social DIstancing. No contact. 6 Feet apart, no exceptions. Please be respectful of everyone's space. We hope to have a fun safe evening with good food, drinks, and company. If you are not comfortable being in a group of people, we encourage you to stay home. Otherwise, we look forward to seeing you!
In the summer of 2014, we both worked at Mo-Ranch Presbyterian Conference Center, Andrew as a lifeguard and Sarah as an employee in the Program Office. Living in the same group housing, we were spending a lot of time together with our friends Vaughn and Taylor, whether it be watching movies with the other 8 housemates, playing washers on the back porch, going bowling in Kerrville, or taking quiet night walks around the beautiful hill country grounds of Mo-Ranch. We soon started to get to know each other better, spending more one-on-one time together, and before we knew it, we had fallen in love with each other and didn't want to be without the other. When school started back up, we spent turns driving the 34 miles from one campus to the other. As soon as Sarah graduated, we moved in together, fostered and adopted a couple cats, and have been happy ever since!
During Labor Day weekend, after a day spent wine tasting in Fredericksburg, we decided to drive the extra hour and spend the night and following day out at Mo-Ranch. As we were arriving, a thunderstorm was brewing. We decided to go back to one of our old hangouts by the river and watch the storm roll in. (See below for a picture of the spot!) When we arrived, there were 2 other guys playing fetch with their puppy in the Guadalupe river. After being jumped on by the wet puppy despite the owner's embarrassment a few times, they left and we were alone, sitting beside the river. Andrew started spouting off sweet remarks and Sarah snarkily commented if he was proposing and alas, he pulls out a ring. After the shock of guessing right, Sarah said yes!
