Maddy and Jordan met while working their first jobs as nurses in Orlando, FL. Jordan caught Maddy's eye and Maddy immediately offered herself to help since Jordan was "the new girl". They started small talk here and there but then they found each other on an app to meet new people and realized they were both single. Shortly after, they went out to a nightclub and Maddy is convinced it was her dancing moves that sealed the deal. They started their relationship and became each others best friend, attached by the hip. It didn't take long before Jordan knew that Maddy was "the one." Around Christmas time, Jordan planned a trip to St. Augustine during the annual Nights of Lights to take Christmas pictures (so Maddy thought). While getting everyone together at the same time was very difficult, she arranged for family from Georgia, Jacksonville, Panama City Beach and Maddy's friend Sheila to be there to make sure the moment was special. Jordan even hinted to Maddy she should get her nails done, since Maddy always said this was a priority for a perfect proposal. They rode the trolley around looking at the spectacular array of lights and then walked their way over to the beautifully lit Lightner Museum. With friends and family around, Jordan got down on one knee and asked Maddy to marry her. In complete shock, the first words out of Maddy's mouth were "Is this a prank?!" After she was assured it wasn't, she agreed to spend the rest of her life with Jordan.
