First brought together through our mutual friends at the NKU Catholic Newman Center, we were both struck with each other at first sight. After a long night of shy flirting, foosball, and competitive jests, we both knew we could not wait to see more of each other. What began as a fun, competitive friendship where she followed him to the gym and he followed her to church, soon grew to more through hours of deep conversations, sharing our hopes, dreams, and convictions. Before long we started dating, and soon realized our love for each other not only for the exhilarating adventures we shared, but for how we challenged each other and brought our the best in one another even through difficult circumstances. One clear night, two short months after we started dating, we went for a romantic stroll by the river on Newport on the Levee. There, slow dancing to "Love Song" by 311, Josh leaned in and whispered, "Janey, I love you." The rest was history.
