Our Favorite Cafes
Cocoa Cinnamon - One of our favorite spots in Durham! Weekend walks with Poppy always ended with a coffee date here. They have three locations (the Lakewood café on chapel hill st has amazing churros!). If you don’t make it there, don’t worry, you’ll still get to enjoy their Little Waves coffee at the wedding's espresso cart. Monuts - Only 8 minutes from the hotel and another one of our Durham favorites—amazing donuts you won’t want to miss! Idle Hour - A little drive from Durham, but totally worth it! Courtney fell in love with this cozy, art-filled café back in 2020, and we can’t get enough of their amazing Vietnamese iced coffee.
Fast Options
Guasaca - A Venezuelan “fast-casual” spot known for its arepas, bowls, and fresh toppings. You get to customize everything, making each bite bold, flavorful, and exactly how you like it. Guglhupf - A cozy artisan bakery and café offering fresh breads, pastries, and full meals, including a delicious brunch menu. Perfect for a relaxed lunch or a leisurely brunch! There are also a variety of fast food options on Hillsborough Rd very close to the hotel.
