When arriving in Turks & Caicos guests leave on the back of the plane as opposed to the front. I would strongly suggest booking your seats in the back so you can get through customs quickly.
The airport is air-conditioned, and it all depends on your level of patience. The wait is average, but the sun and beach can drive anyone wanting out of the airport.
