Old home of William Faulkner, beautiful historical building with dog-friendly walking trails that lead to campus.
The Grove is where the #1 NCAAF tailgating in the NATION happens, thank you very much. Highly recommend taking a stroll through to explore campus, or bringing a picnic.
Bride's mother's favorite study spot in college. The cutest!
Some of THE best food in Oxford. Beautiful NYC style lounge-vibe with gorgeous wood-fired pizza, luscious pastas, & an award winning cocktail program. A must-go. Open for brunch, too! Grab reservations by early March.
SO good & SO easy. Classic, country Italian food in heaping portions for a good price. No reservations + completely BYOB, luckily it shares a parking lot with Kiame's Wine & Liquor!
Need breakfast plans? Look no further. True southern and damn good.
A great lunch spot. Mac n' cheese is listed as a "vegetable" on their menu. Say no more.
One of the bride's favorites. The coziest little oyster bar with incredible seafood plates.
Speakeasy inside the Lyric Venue on the Square. No food, but fantastic + innovative cocktails.
Beautiful + upscale food in a cozy, historic building. An Oxford staple.
The bride's favorite bar from college.
Show up to this gas station late-night and ask for chicken-on-a-stick and some crispitos. Ole Miss tradition, thank us later.
A wonderful little community with Lost Dog Coffee and Grit Restaurant.
Blues Club in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, owned & operated by Morgan Freeman. A great day-trip, & you may even see Mr. Freeman himself!
A bucket list item, see the home (and gravesite) of Elvis Presley! Comes highly recommended by the bride's father, big Elvis fan.
Famous & BEAUTIFUL pottery shop in the quaintest Mississippi Delta town. The "storefront" at this address is the McCarty family home, with a lush + colorful garden filled with one-of-a-kind, handmade pieces. If this is a trip you want to make, add lunch on Sharpe Avenue in Cleveland, MS! Quick history: Lee McCarty met his wife while attending Ole Miss. In 1954 the couple returned to Lee's home in Marigold, MS, where he started making pottery. In 2015, the University inducted Lee into our Alumni Hall of Fame (joining his buddy William Faulkner). Lee unfortunately passed away the same year, but the McCarty family has continued his legacy & now all have a hand in the pottery-making. All McCarty pottery is donned with a wavy black line representing the Mississippi River. Note: The mystery person behind these eloquent, well-written descriptions has it on good authority that the couple's registry will include McCarty pottery, & the bride will take "any and all McCarty at any time."
There are only two Grammy Museums in the entire nation: one in Los Angeles, and one in Cleveland, MS. This museum houses so many crazy artifacts, from Michael Jackson's gloves to Lady Gaga's red carpet looks. A blast of a way to spend a day, and Cleveland's Sharpe Avenue boasts several great lunch spots. Not far from McCarty's Pottery or Ground Zero Blues Club, if you're looking to make a day of it.
