*The resort heavily over charges for many common products* -Bug spray -Sunscreen -Tampons -Aloe Vera -Non slip sandals (Pool area can be very slippery) -Reusable cups and water bottles -Snorkel gear ( if you have it) -Motion sickness pills - Liquor or specific alcohol ( If you like a specific brand of liquor you can get it at the airport in Costa Rica, duty free. The resort is all-inclusive but may not have certain brands, especially if you have an allergy)
-Water shoes/ sneakers -Rain coat (some excursions go deep into the rainforest) -Pool floats -Portable speaker -Binoculars -Pool Towel ( they have pool towels, but it is always nice to have your own! Especially to claim spots.) -Sun shirt ( for both pool and hikes)
**Resort Dress Code** Most of the resort is casual. They do have a few restaurants that require men to wear slacks, a nice shirt and shoes, girls can wear a nice outfit. Tipping is not mandatory but highly recommend! I highly recommend bringing single dollar bills to tip! * Tipping culture is different in Costa Rica vs the US- It is always recommended to tip your staff, excursion tour guides and bar tenders! They will remember and take extra great care of you!* Advice when bringing cash - the resort does have atms, but fees can be high! I recommend bringing cash with you! All Venders take cash, especially for excursions and beach activities. Each room comes with a safe! - Make sure to put your valuables in the safe before you leave your room! Theft is most common from the monkeys!! Not the staff! Monkeys love shiny things and will see your credit card and think it's food! Make sure to put your stuff away! Please remember Costa Rica is on Island time! Things may take a little longer and people are not in a rush! We are on vacation so relax and enjoy!!
