Wedding Party

Who even is that?: A wedding party cheat-sheet

Nicholas Ferrone

Officiant

Despite his threats to reenact the marriage monologue from The Princess Bride, Lia & Jack are delighted to have Lia's little brother marry them. A confident, even-keeled, friendly fellow - who knows more about Star Wars than anyone in the tri-state area - the bride and groom are thrilled to have him be the first person to congratulate them on becoming the Ferrone-Limongellis.

Adriana Garrison

Matron of Honor

Lia and Adriana have been best friends since the eighth grade when Adriana sat behind the bride and quietly made fun of her in biology. Their friendship grew over a shared love of Leo DiCaprio movies, pizza on Fridays, and the mutual recognition that they'd always have each other's backs in a way you just know if you're fortunate enough to meet one of those rare people at the right time. Adriana - now Dr. Garrison, not to brag - is known and loved for her irresistible genuineness, her ability to see the very best in people, and her unwavering loyalty. Lia is grateful every day to have her by her side.

Nick Markferding

Best Man

It turns out bullying is the root of lasting friendships. Jack removed the rubber stoppers from Nick's calculator in high school physics and laughed maniacally every time it slid off Nick's desk. Nick's Stockholm Syndrome transformed into a brotherhood that has survived cross-country moves, personal tragedy, two deployments, and many, many more years of harassment (mostly from Jack). Nick is treasured for his loyalty, thoughtfulness, and siring Jack's perfect goddaughter, Amalia. Jack is honored to have Nick return the favor of being his best man, even though Jack skipped Nick's wedding to play in the sandbox.

Justine Popa

Bridesmaid

Justine declared she was done making new friends at the age of 26, and Lia, who had met her moments after this announcement, slid under that wire like she was in a spy thriller. Justine and Lia connected almost instantly when Justine was hired at Harlequin and became Lia's mentor in March of 2019, making their transition to Frientor and Frientee (TM) months later. If the color of rose gold were a person, that person would be Justine. She is delightfully creative, quietly hilarious, absolutely indefatigable, and Lia is incredibly glad Justine claims her as her last new friend.

Jason Chu

Groomsman

Easily the coolest guy in the wedding party, Cool Guy Jason met Jack at Seton Hall Prep (and Lia in fifth grade, if we're counting), and the two haven't stopped finding adventures since. While Jason is well-traveled, irresistibly charming, and somehow always having the most fun in the room, his generosity and vibrant spirit are the real gifts to those, like Jack, who are fortunate to be Jason's friends.

Melanie Taylor

Bridesmaid

Don't be fooled; beneath Melanie's silly, sweet personality and fabulously feathered curtain bangs is a woman who is tough as nails and can definitely lift more than you. Need proof? She lived with Lia for two years in college and they became best friends instead of bitter enemies (or the more normal standoffish acquaintances who judge the way you fill the dishwasher). Melanie is a deeply thoughtful and determined person, whose sense of adventure and fearlessness allows her to take chances that Lia marvels at.

C. J. Sager

Groomsman

Perhaps the most important objective the U.S. Army has ever achieved was to unite Jack and C. J. as lifelong terrors - ehem, friends. C. J. and Jack's relationship is the kind people hope to find, one in which two strangers are aligned on all the important stuff: a wicked sense of humor, deep love of the New York Yankees, and unforgivingly Type A+ personalities. Since living together during their deployment, C. J. has proved himself an invaluable friend for his steadying presence, unyielding dependability, and incredible skill at Mario Sports and Immaculate Grid.

Victoria Limongelli

Bridesmaid

Jack won the sister lottery, but the good news is Lia reaps the benefits. After enduring a quarter-century of brothers, Lia could not possibly be more thankful to call Tor family. Empathetic, witty, and queen of the side eye, there's no one else Lia would choose to quietly (or loudly) share sarcastic and confused looks with for the rest of her life now that Tor is legally stuck with her.

Danny Molloy

Groomsman

Despite his unfortunate Irish heritage, Jack's brother-in-law has made an indelible mark on the Limongelli family. Adored for his perfectly timed jokes, sick mustache, and ability to be a Stevie Wonder jukebox, one literally cannot say enough good things about Danny Molloy (try it, you can't). Jack is deeply appreciative to have Danny by his side both on his wedding day and throughout his life.

Mia Capizzi

Bridesmaid

When Lia hears the phrase 'light up a room' she thinks of Mia. Mia is human sunshine: stylish, bubbly, friendly, warm, and about to graduate from the University of Arizona (which is where sunshine would also get its accounting degree if it could). Lia is overjoyed to have her little cousin standing with her as her bridesmaid and her friend.

Behzad Rustemi

Groomsman

The Ferrone-Limongellis thank Behzad for venturing outside the comfort of his Earth Tones and into his tux. Jack and Behzad bonded over drinking (heavily) while at VOLO softball, adult kickball, Village jazz clubs, fancy rooftops, Brooklyn dive bars, emo nights, foreign countries... pretty much anywhere alcohol could be purchased. From those antics, an undying and very fashionable partnership was forged. With Behzad's sarcasm, self-deprecation, and steadfast support, Jack is looking forward to adding 'wedding' to his & Behzad's illustrious list of drunken adventures.

Alexandra Sciacca-Butler

Bridesmaid

Daughters of actual identical twins, Alexandra and Lia obviously insisted they were twins as too, never mind the different moms and 11-month age gap. Growing up together, they prepared for their futures as the next Brittany Spears (Alex) and Christina Aguilera (Lia), softball stars (lol), and, of course, brides. Lia feels so lucky to have made it out of Alexandra's closet chapel to step first into Alex's bridal party and now, to have Alexandra in hers.

Chris Llerandi

Groomsman

There is no timeline in which Jack and Chris are not friends. Born only a few months apart to two best friends, Jack and Chris grew up attending baseball camps, enjoying summers, and playing heated games of coüpo together. Add to that Chris's unfailing kindness and welcoming personality, and there's no doubt that it's fate for Chris and Jack to be side by side on this special day.

Amalia Markferding

Flower Girl

Say hello to the happiest baby in the world, Amalia Mae, Jack's beautiful goddaughter. Amalia will be sixteen months old when she graces the aisle and is the future title holder of History's Cutest Flower Girl. The bride and groom thank her parents profusely for the brave act of flying their baby (and themselves) across the country to be here.

Michael Ferrone

Ring Bearer

Lia's youngest brother is too full of jokes to be given a speaking role, so Michael has been tasked with an equally important but significantly less wordy job of getting the bride and groom's rings down the aisle. A proud cat dad and encyclopedia of South Park quotes, the Ferrone-Limongellis never considered having their rings carried by anyone else.
