FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Of course. Our special day wouldn't be the same without them.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 29th.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts promptly at 4 O'clock (weather permitting). Please plan to arrive a little early to park and find your seat.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. Our ceremony and reception are at the same location. Please park in "Event Parking". See our venues website for more details and a map - https://www.theblacksheepshelter.com/venue-parking

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

It was important to Mitchell and I to have an intimate wedding celebration with our closest family and friends. Due to this nature, unless you see "and guest" or "family" on your invitation, please refrain from brining additional guests.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

No! Wear whatever you find comfortable. Please keep in mind that our ceremony will be outside, so you will want to dress to weather conditions. Our reception space is also an "open air" venue. While protected from elements like rain, sun, or snow, there is no air conditioning. Heating is on for chilly nights.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see the travel section on our website

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Choose from a selection of Beer, Wine, Seltzers, and Hard Lemonade.

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding ceremony?

Answer

We've hired an excellent photographer, so please respect her space and avoid blocking the isle for ceremony pictures. Photos are welcomed and encouraged during the reception! There will even be a photo scavenger hunt during the reception.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

As someone with food alergies, it was important to me that we had a wide selection of food people could eat. We will have both gluten and dairy free options. Allergens will be clearly marked.

Question

I have more questions, who can I ask?

Answer

Please reach out to Lindsey or Mitchell directly.
