Our story begins in the summer of 2021 when we met as coworkers at Krispy Kreme in Cottleville. Kaitlyn was the talented trainer showing Nelson the ropes, and Nelson was the cute nerd who could not help but notice how stunning she was. What started as simple workplace interactions quickly grew into something meaningful. Our conversations came naturally, and even from the beginning, the friendship forming between us was tied to a genuine attraction that neither of us even attempted to hide. As we spent more time together, the connection deepened in quiet, steady ways. We shared laughter, easy conversation, and the feeling of being completely ourselves with one another. Before long, it was clear that we were building something on a foundation that mattered. Our mutual love for Christ and our agreement on what we wanted for our future gave our relationship direction and strength. Today, we are celebrating our engagement and the beginning of a new chapter. Kaitlyn is working her first job as an eighth grade science teacher after graduating from Truman State University with a B.A. in Biology and an M.A. in Education. Nelson is working for an Automation Engineering company after graduating from the University of Missouri Science & Technology with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Automation Systems. We are grateful for everyone who has supported us and walked with us. This is our story, but it would not be complete without our great friends and family such as you.
