We flew to Colorado Springs, CO and got married atop Pikes Peak Mountain on March 4th (our anniversary). Our photographer was amazing and kept taking us "up" to find different spots for pictures. I'm not sure how far we actually went, but it had to be at least 10,000 ft! The views were breathtaking, even with some of the snow having been melted from the warmer weather that came in while we visited. Everywhere you went, you could see the mountains behind you. If you ever go, don't forget a can of oxygen - trust us on this one! We stayed for a few days and just ate and drank our way around Colorado Springs. From ramen to giant biscuit sandwiches to Jamaican pasta, we tried to enjoy restaurants/foods we wouldn't normally be able to get in SC. We visited a candy store where we purchased PB&J + Chicken & Waffles chocolate bars (along with other numerous things we didn't need but had to have), a chocolate shop that had the most delicious apple pie caramel apple, and a local honey store that had whipped honey - something neither of us had ever even heard of! Oh, and taxes there are 8.25%. That kind of sucked.
