As cliche as it sounds, we met at an ugly sweater party. We made eye contact throughout the night but never had the opportunity to talk (or at least that's how William tells it). After connecting through Facebook, we went on our first date a few days later and hit it off. We stayed until the cafe closed (longest date on record for each of us) and knew instantly it would be the first of many.

On the five year anniversary of when William first said "I love you", he got down on one knee in the middle of the Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge) in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Legend says that couples who kiss while crossing the bridge will be in love forever (and for added irony, the bridge was also featured in the James Bond film Diamonds are Forever). We're so excited to share this next chapter of our lives with you!
