Although Brian had been a bus boy at Sara's sorority for many years, it wasn't until January 2019 that things started to materialize. After exchanging glances and some small talk at Theta dinners, they really hit it off when the Theta Executive Board took the bus boys out to midtown for dinner and drinks. It was clear from the start that this was something special.

After a variety of sorority date functions, days at the library, adventures, and meeting friends and family, it became official!

After one year of dating, the pandemic hit and suddenly senior spring was not what anyone had envisioned. While most UF students decided to return home during COVID, Brian and Sara decided to stick it out in Gainesville. Despite the chaos of the outside world, the quality time spent together allowed the relationship to grow stronger. After graduating in the spring of 2020, Brian and Sara started their lives together in the real world.

In late July 2022, Brian and Sara took a trip that Sara thought was going to be a low-key, relaxing trip to visit her family's home at the Jersey Shore. Little did she know that Brian had other plans. After a delicious dinner at Parker's, they walked to the beach to try to find some sea-glass, however, they did not find any sea-glass. Sara walked up to find that the beach was set up with a gorgeous proposal site. Brian then got down on one knee to propose, and SHE SAID YES! After celebrating on the beach with some champagne, they walked back to Sara's godfather's house to share the news, only to be surprised again by Brian's family, who flew in secretly for the event, as well as Sara's family and closest friends. Brian truly pulled off the ultimate surprise.
