Our Story

On 5th October 2019, Michaela and Feroze went on their very first date at the Swan Inn pub in Milton Keynes. What began as a relaxed afternoon of conversation, laughter, and getting to know one another quickly became the start of something truly special — even if neither of them realised just how big it would become. Exactly one month later, on 5th November 2019, they made it official and exclusive, and from that moment on, their journey together truly began. From the very start, food played a starring role in their relationship. One of their earliest (and most memorable) meals involved Feroze confidently ordering a caramelised onion toastie… despite the fact that he doesn’t even like caramelised onions. It was the first of many moments that proved their relationship would always be filled with laughter, surprises, and questionable food choices. Since then, they’ve been lucky enough to explore the world together, travelling to incredible places like India, America, and Sri Lanka, collecting unforgettable memories (and meals!) everywhere they went. Every trip added another chapter to their story and another reason to fall even more in love. In May 2024, during a breathtaking trip to Costa Rica, Feroze knew the time had come. Surrounded by beautiful waterfalls — and a few unsuspecting tourists — he bravely got down on one knee and proposed to Michaela. The moment was made even more meaningful as the engagement ring had been lovingly chosen with the help of Feroze’s late mother, making her presence felt in the most special way. Although Feroze’s parents and Michaela’s step-father are not physically here to witness their marriage, they are forever in their hearts — watching from above and blessing their journey with love. In September 2025, Michaela and Feroze celebrated their civil wedding in Milton Keynes, sharing a beautiful and intimate ceremony surrounded by close family and friends. Now, they are counting down the days to the final celebration of their marriage — their traditional Hindu wedding on 4th April 2026. Almost six years on, they’re still laughing, still adventuring, and still deciding what to eat — especially when Feroze is feeling picky. And they wouldn’t have it any other way.
