We worked for the same company and never met, but ended up meeting by chance when Fernando had to go to Paula's location to pick up some inventory. We hit it off from there and the rest is history. Our relationship grew out of friendship and quickly progressed. Our chemistry was special from that first day we met, and Paula's coworker jokingly said "Paula, you two are going to end up getting married." Looks like he was right. :)

Paula had always expressed interest in wanting to get engaged in Italy, so it was not coincidence that Fernando booked a 3 week vacation in Europe after graduating school. They visited several countries, and of course, visited Italy. Fernando set up a private tour while in Rome and proposed at the top of the Colosseum.
