When Krishna 1st started pharmacy school she met Fernando's roommate who brought him to her house to pregame for a jello shot fundraiser. She didn't think much of Fernando, he was just another guy. At the fundraiser she saw him sitting at a seat across the room and marched over to "lean" on his chair. In her head, at the time, it was the only open chair to lean on. They took a jello shot together, exchanged phone numbers, and the rest is history.

After nearly 4 years of dating and Krishna's move back to Arizona approaching, Fernando thought it was the perfect time to propose after Krishna's graduation when both families would be in town. Krishna was anxious and hangry during graduation itself that she left the graduation early, which threw off the carefully planned time frame, making everyone panic. Everyone was on different phone calls moving up times for all set up, photography, dinner, etc. Both families were waiting at the beach, while Fernando and some of Krishna's friends stalled the time while set up was being done. Krishna had no idea what was going on and was wondering why everyone was moving at "snail" speed. She started to become very hangry and began to complain. After taking multiple wrong turns to stall time, they finally arrived at Ft. Lauderdale Beach. Upon their arrival there was a beautiful rose and seashell set up waiting on the beach. Fernando gave a romantic speech and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Krishna's response was "OMG is this real life, and YES!" Afterwards Fernando had arranged for a waterfront dinner for all the family and friends that were in town to celebrate the big news. Now, Krishna and Fernando are awaiting everyone's arrival to Arizona for the big day to celebrate!
