Airports

Rio has two main airports: international (GIG) and domestic (SDU). There are buses, taxis, ride shares and a connecting subway system and tram that can easily take you to the heart of the city during the day. If your flight arrives in the evening we recommend booking a car to take you to your hotel.

Rio has tons of Hotels, Hostels, Bed and Breakfasts, and Airbnbs. The best areas to stay will be in the south zone of the city (Zona Sul), where the most famous neighborhoods are: Flamengo, Botafogo, Urca, Copacabana, Ipanema, and Leblon. When choosing a place to stay be sure to read the reviews because favelas are everywhere in Rio and we don't want you wandering too far into one. We picked one that is very close to us and has an amazing view, but feel free to choose another. Use code GINO for 10% discount!
