You will probably have a brief layover in Benito Juarez International Airport in Mexico City (MEX). The flight from Mexico City to Oaxaca lasts about an hour. This is the fastest and safest route to Oaxaca. The drive from OAX to downtown Oaxaca lasts about 12 minutes.
