Chris and Lauren met the summer of 2012 in Nacogdoches, where they were both working on their degrees at Stephen F. Austin State University. They went on their first date at the infamous Jalepeno Tree in May and became “Facebook official” in July. Lauren and Chris quickly became inseparable until May of 2014 when they had to decide their future after graduation. Chris asked Lauren if she would move to Austin, and she said “absolutely!”. With a quick move, Chris’s mom, Terri let them stay with her family for a couple of months in Dripping Springs. Lauren only let their donkey escape once! After getting on their feet, Chris and Lauren relocated to East Austin which they loved so much! Over the next 3 years, Chris and Lauren spent time hiking the green belts, camping, exploring the city, and hitting up every good restaurant they could imagine. Lauren is the director for Primrose School of West Lake Hills, and Chris is a sales associate for Next, a home, and commercial automation company. In January of 2017, Chris and Lauren went skiing in New Mexico with several good friends. After a few days on the slopes they all met up at the top of the mountain for “lunch”. Little did Lauren know that that lunch would change her life forever! On top of a beautifully, snow-covered mountain, Chris got on one knee and made Lauren the happiest girl in the world. Chris and Lauren will be getting married June 7, 2019, at Mercury Hall in Austin, Texas, surrounded by family and friends who got them to where they are today.
