We first met at Savannah College of Art and Design in our History of Graphic Design class in 2019. We were partnered together for an ice-breaker the first day of class and although we didn't know it at the time, we were clearly meant to be with each other. A year later, February 2020, we were both applying for an internship with Abercrombie and Fitch Co. We would see each other briefly at a portfolio review before returning back to The Hue, coincidentally where we both lived. In March, we were both invited to Columbus, OH to tour Abercrombie's Home Office Campus and do final rounds of interviews. It took a few weeks to hear back, but in passing at the elevators at The Hue, we learned we both got accepted for the internship. If you remember what happened in March of 2020, our exciting summer internship would be cancelled due to COVID and we later learned the program would continue virtually for 2 weeks in the summer. It wasn't what we had planned, but we think now this was meant to happen. We talked continuously through our virtual internship, supporting each other as friends, and after the internship we both made the decision to accept full-time roles as Apparel Graphic Designers after we graduated. Returning to Savannah at the start of Senior Year, it did not take long for us to realize we wanted to spend everyday together. We had our first date, and have spent almost every day together since. We officially started dating on September 4th, 2020 and 4 years later, Matt planned a surprise proposal on the beach at Tybee Island on July 3rd, 2024. It was so special to get engaged in our favorite city, and the place where we fell in love. We've made the decision to elope in a small ceremony in Savannah, GA on the exact date we started dating, 5 years later. We are also excited to celebrate our love again, 10 days later, with all of our friends and family in Columbus where we truly began our life together. Knowing we would both be working at Abercrombie after we graduated, we made plans to live together in Columbus not even a year into dating (but when you know, you know). We moved to a little apartment in Italian Village in August 2021, and 2 years later moved again to New Albany for a more quiet life that fits both of us. We absolutely love living in Columbus, and are excited for everyone to experience this city and our beautiful venue, the Franklin Park Conservatory.
