Where is The Oaks at Salem located?

Answer

The Oaks at Salem is located at 6304 Old Jenks Rd in Apex, North Carolina. The venue is ~20 minutes from downtown Raleigh, ~20 minutes from downtown Durham, and ~10 minutes from downtown Cary. For those flying, we recommend using Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU).

When and how do I RSVP?

The RSVP page on our wedding website will be coming soon. You can RSVP through the website once available or through the mail when formal invitations arrive in mid-2026.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Please arrive by 4:45pm.

What's the wedding dress code?

Answer

Guests should wear cocktail attire and are encouraged to add a fall garden party twist if feeling inspired (think prints, textured fabrics, and fall colors)! Most importantly though, be comfortable and ready to dance! For men: suits or sport coats; ties are optional. For women: midi-dresses, jumpsuits, or other elevated cocktail attire.

Is the wedding inside or outside?

Answer

We hope to have our ceremony outside at The Oaks, as long as the weather cooperates! Cocktail hour will be indoor/outdoor, and the reception will take place under a tent at The Oaks with either fans or heating depending on weather.

Are children invited?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, the wedding on Friday will be an adults-only event. We are happy to recommend some sitters in town, and children are welcome to brunch on Saturday. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy an evening off duty!

Will there be transportation?

Answer

If you are staying at the Courtyard Marriott Raleigh Cary (<10 minutes away), there will be a shuttle with two different departure times both to The Oaks and back to the Courtyard for the wedding. Uber and Lyft are also easily accessible in the area. The post-wedding brunch is within walking distance from the Courtyard Marriott Raleigh Cary and the Residence Inn Raleigh Cary listed on the Travel page (<5 min).

Is there parking?

Answer

Complimentary valet parking is available at The Oaks for those who wish to drive. Please note that cars cannot be left overnight, and we encourage everyone to drive responsibly. Parking is plentiful near Gamers Geekery for those attending brunch the next day.

What should I wear to brunch?

Answer

Think relaxed weekend brunch attire. We'll be gathering casually for brunch and games - feel free to wear jeans, casual dresses, casual button-downs, or whatever you normally wear to brunch.
