Meadow Brook Barn has indoor and outdoor spots for the ceremony. We are planning for outside, weather pending! The barn has heating & air conditioning although in Indiana extreme temperatures do arise. The barn is handicap accessible via a ramp on the north side of the building. There will be a golf cart for those who need additional assistance around the venue.
No. As a courtesy to our professional photographer & videographer, we ask that ALL guests refrain from using your camera, cell phone, or iPad during the wedding. Please let our talented professionals capture the moments without having to dodge cell phones as Ben watches his bride walk down the aisle. But... Just one? Nope. Don't do it. If your phone ends up in one of our beautiful shots, the bride will be pretty upset with you. You can take all the selfies and pictures you want at our reception!
Of course, please include them on your RSVP count so we order enough food for everyone. The bride and groom just ask that little ones be removed if they are too disruptive during the ceremony & that they be watched appropriately at the reception to avoid injury or chaos.
September 1st in Indiana can be a toss-up. It could be very hot, or it could be chilly. We encourage our guests to dress in whatever makes them feel comfortable, however, we ask you please refrain from jeans at our special occasion. The bride & groom are not (generally) tuxedo & ballgown people, so this is not expected.... If you are, go for it! Anything in between is fine & you will be accepted no matter what!
Due to it being Labor Day weekend, werecommend making reservations as early as possible. We have secured a discount at a local hotel chain, & these rooms must be reserved one week prior to the wedding. There is also a new Fairfield Inn being built in Goshen that opens in June. Please refer to our travel & accommodations section for more information on directions, flights, & hotels!
We are keeping our vegetarian, vegan, & dietary specific friends in mind when planning our menu! There will be a spot on your RSVP form to indicate these needs/preferences. Please make sure to fill this out promptly so that we can make sure our caterer accommodates your needs! If you have food or other allergies, PLEASE let us know right away.
The bride & groom will be providing beer and wine for guests during the cocktail hour & dinner. There will be a cash bar for liquor during this time, as well as for all alcohol after dinner. We will also have non-alcoholic beverages for those who cannot or do not want to drink. As always, please drink responsibly & plan accordingly to not drive intoxicated. There are many cabs, Ubers and Lyfts that can take you to and from the venue if you plan to consume alcohol (or if you just don't want to drive).
While we don't expect any gifts from guests, we greatly appreciate your generosity! For your convenience, our registry is located in a tab on our wedding website which allows you to find all items & funds in one place on Zola.com
