To put it simply he slid into my DM's. After originally putting Damon in the friend zone, I decided to add him on Snapchat - which ended with him constantly chatting me. I was having some friends over for a bonfire and thought I would be nice and invite Damon over as well. This was the first time we met each other in person and he showed up HOURS late. A month after the bonfire we started dating and we will be married on our five year dating anniversary.

On 01.11.2020 we boarded the Disney Fantasy Cruise Ship out of Port Canaveral, FL. Everyone knows Damon and I have a love for disney, especially a disney cruise! That evening we got ready for our first show and dinner. After the show we came back to the room to kill time before dinner. It was super rough out and windy. Our friends that we were cruising with unfortunately missed dinner due to seasickness! So Damon took me out on our private balcony, got down on one knee and popped the question! Of course I said YES! I had a feeling this was going to happen on this vacation. (I somewhat ruined the surprise because I could tell he was up to something. And with our friends being sick he decided not to do it at dinner without them. I think after hiding the ring for three days and flying with it in his carry on backpack he was ready to have it on my finger). I remember my last day of work at PRMC telling my coworkers I was coming back with a ring on my finger! This was the best vacation to celebrate our engagement and Damon becoming a paramedic! The Disney Fantasy will always hold a special place in our hearts!
