We are having our wedding in Florence, as it was the first place we travelled to together, a mere 3 months into meeting :)
Our wedding is an all-inclusive experience in the Tuscan coutnryside, at Castello di Ristonchi. Your accommodations are already set! Because of this, we'll ask you to contribute €500 euros per person as one of our guests, which covers your transport to and from Florence International Airport, three nights of lodging, and all meals. Payment details for this contribution will be sent to you upon RSVP.
Castello di Ristonchi is an old castle in the Italian countryside that has been renovated and restored to host fun get-togethers! The Castello itself is in Tuscany, a bit east of Florence, in an area of forested, rolling hills. The space itself can host upwards of 80 people, and food and drinks are all offered on-site. There are several different green spaces, a pool, a 'rave cave', and many hiking trails nearby. Everything we'll need is right at the Castello, and we'll be in a secluded little slice of heaven together during our time.
The Castello provides transport to and from Florence International Airport on the arrival an departure days - we'll organize and provide more details about meeting points and times when we get closer to the wedding. Driving to the Castello is also possible, but there is limited space, so please reach out well ahead of time and let us know if you'd prefer to drive on your own so that we can coordinate with the Castello's staff accordingly.
Your cost for your 4 day, 3 night stay at Castello di Ristonchi is €500 euros, and this covers: - Transport to Castello di Ristonchi from Florence International Airport on May 5th, 2026. - Transport from Castello di Ristonchi to Florence International Airport on May 8th, 2026. - Lodging for three nights from May 5-8, 2026. - All meals during May 5-8, 2026, and accompanying drinks. Drinks will be available to purchase outside of designated meal times; keeping a tab for your room will be easy once at the venue.
All good! Gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan meal choices will all be possible. When you RSVP here on the website, please let us know about your preference.
For the wedding ceremony, we do not want to see any white or black dresses, or jeans. Please and thank you. We also recommend avoiding siletto heels, as the ceremony will take place outside on grass - but you are of course welcome to try. Before and after the ceremony, you are welcome to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in! There is a pool as well as plenty of hiking trails around, so make sure to bring your swimsuits and active wear.
The Castello di Ristonchi is a venue with a set number of accommodations and services, and for that reason we cannot host plus ones who are not already included in the guest list. We need to plan for the exact number of guests ahead of time, to ensure everything goes swimmingly! If there is someone that you think is missing from the guest list, please let us know.
Yes, there are a couple of main ones: - No jumping into the pool outside of opening hours. - No smoking outside of designated areas. - No littering on the property (incl. cigarette butts). Please note that failing to meet these rules leads to fines.. yikes! And that's about it for now - we'll add more if and when we learn about them.
The weather in May should see high and lows of 24°C/ 12°C, or 76°F / 54°F. But let's all pray the weather stays on the warmer side.
