As any other millennial actively seeking for a partner they found each other through a dating app, tinder to be specific. Felipe at the time was living in Athens, GA, attending UGA and Johnny was living in Atlanta, GA, attending KSU, so about an hour and a half away from each other...but wait, how did they find each other on Tinder if that's so far in-between? Felipe was the one who made the first move to which Johnny was quick to reply and engage, leading to a week long conversation over text about their career goals, food adventures, travel aspirations and more importantly, how the hell did their profiles appeared on each others app if they were so far. Well, music is the answer (as cliche as it can sound). Johnny and Felipe had attended a music festival about a week prior their match and Felipe's profile had appeared in Johnnys cue and he obviously swiped RIGHT. After a week went by Felipe saw Johnny's profile, obviously swiped RIGHT, and (drum roll) YOU HAVE A MATCH! so there it is, that's how it all started. Leading to the end of the first week of texting Felipe coincidentally had a marketing conference at Georgia Tech in Atlanta and subtly told Johnny he was going to be in town for the weekend and would be down to grab dinner (nothing pretentious) to which Johnny immediately replied yes and planned it all. When the day came by, Johnny picked up Felipe at Atlantic station and took Felipe to dinner at Gypsy kitchen (Felipe was bamboozled). They had a great dinner filled with lots of talking and chemistry, after dinner they headed out to the bars and just kicked it off, and as you can imagine they repeated this type of date pretty much every weekend for the next following years until they moved in together in Atlanta, GA, then moved across the country to San Francisco, CA and now here we are, wedding time!

Johnny proposed in the middle of the pandemic when the Bay Area had a month long window for businesses to operate at large capacity. Right then, he told Felipe they were going for a hike at Saint Helena mountain (Napa, CA) and as they reached one of the peaks he shoot his shot. Then they enjoyed the whole weekend in Napa visiting amazing wineries, bars and restaurants! One of their wildest dreams is to retire (ASAP) and open a family owned winery, which most likely will be named Jolipe ;)~
