Felipe and Angela met in the most unpredictable way. At the time, Angela was rebuilding her life and decided that a good home renovation was just what the heart (and house) needed. Felipe, the architect in charge of the project, was assigned to visit the property weekly. Unbeknownst to them, over time, both found themselves quietly looking forward to seeing one another. Week by week, blueprint by blueprint… butterflies started showing up. Angela jokingly refers to Felipe as her knight in shining armor, answering a few of her renovation distress calls and even helping her manage a minor house crisis (or two). Felipe, on the other hand, fondly remembers how something always seemed to “accidentally” break right before he was about to leave. Angela still denies any sabotage! (We’re not saying she did it, but we’re not not saying it.) As their connection grew, neither dared to act on it, too worried about blurring professional lines. But the excitement was undeniable with every encounter. Then came The Chipotle Moment. One fateful afternoon, Deven (Angela’s daughter) was ordering Chipotle for lunch and casually asked Felipe if he wanted anything. As they waited for their burritos, Angela saw her window of opportunity. She began firing off all the questions she’d been secretly curious about. Anyone who knows Angela…knows she doesn’t hold back when it comes to asking questions. Felipe, interpreting her interest as a sign, decided to take a chance and ask her out. Nervous, he blurted out a quick disclaimer: “Of course… we’d wait until the project is finished!” To which Angela replied, without hesitation: “I don’t want to wait that long.” ❤️ From their very first conversations about house renderings and floor plans to discovering their shared faith, the connection was instant. Over the next two years, filled with adventures, travel, fur-babies, and a mutual love for family and healing, their bond only deepened. They both truly believe that the other is their biggest blessing. Felipe helps Angela stay grounded, present, and focused on their faith. Together, they strive to live a life filled with gratitude, love, and passion. And now… they can’t wait to start this next chapter together.
