We're getting married!

10.27.23 Our story began two years ago in the most unexpected way. Michelle slid into Felipe's DM's curious about a donation drive he was part of. Little did they know, that message would change everything! A few months later, Michelle showed up, uninvited, to volunteer at the luncheon Felipe planned, hosting immigrant families that received the donations. With the help of friends and his Sysco colleagues, he asked Michelle out a few times, until she eventually said yes! Their official date was at Union Station for a culinary gala, where they enjoyed sampling different chef stations and drinks, and ended up spending nine hours bouncing around the city, laughing and having the best time. After a few dates, they discovered they had so many friends in common and at some point worked just two blocks aways from each other for about 10 years, yet never crossed paths until now. It's as if life were preparing them all this time to be together. The rest is history!

02.11.25 This past February, they set off on what Michelle thought would be a surprise trip to celebrate Felipe's father's 70th birthday- an adventure to Peru filled with family and friends. But little did Michelle know, there were multiple surprises planned on this trip. Machu Picchu, a magnificent location, surrounded by breathtaking views, Felipe got down on one knee and asked Michelle to marry him. With their parents there to witness and their amazingly talented photographer friends there to capture every moment, the day was beyond perfect. They spent the rest of the trip exactly how you'd want to celebrate something this special: with endless laughter, ceviche, and toasting endlessly with pisco sours in hand!
