Felicia and Richie first met in 2015 at Northern Illinois University. While they both felt a spark, life had other plans — they were busy navigating college, friendships, and the early chaos of adulthood. Still, they never lost touch. Fast forward to 2020, and the timing was finally right. They decided to give their connection the chance it always deserved. At the time, Richie lived in Lincoln Park, and the two spent countless days taking walks to the lake, visiting the zoo, exploring new bars and restaurants, and cheering on the Cubs at Wrigley. In 2023, Richie made the big move from the North Side to the South Suburbs, joining Felicia. Together they made their first apartment a home in Oak Forest— filled with love, laughter, and (thanks to Felicia) a few foster cats who quickly became permanent members of the family. Between pool days and cozy nights in, they found their rhythm living together. This past year has been one for the books — Felicia and Richie bought their first house, added their golden retriever puppy, Lottie, to the mix, and got engaged! For their proposal - Richie told Felicia they had dinner reservations and even sent himself a fake confirmation message from the “restaurant” to sell the story. When they got in the car, he mentioned the reservation mix-up and suggested taking a walk instead. Felicia agreed, and near the waterfall at Lake Katherine, Richie got down on one knee — with Felicia’s brother Matt hiding in the bushes to capture the moment. They celebrated afterward with an amazing Italian dinner. It was the perfect night — and the start of forever. Now, Felicia and Richie can’t wait to celebrate their next chapter with all of you!
