This is the bride's favorite restaurant. Great for lunch (11am - 3pm), but beware they close between 3pm and 5pm. If you've never been we recommend the half spicy, half original pot, and that you choose a red meat rather than chicken or seafood as it's more forgiving on the cooking times.
There are several casinos in San Diego, but Barona is known to have good food, and they have shuttles that will pick you up from all over San Diego. So check to see if there's one near your hotel. https://www.barona.com/about-barona/directions-and-transportation/shuttle-schedule/
A San Diego original. Mooneer recommends the Beefy Ribs and Chicken Dinner.
There's another location in the Gaslamp Quarter that's supposed to be a lot of fun, but parking can be a challenge. Good luck!
Take a walk, maybe do some shopping. If you'd rather have the sights come to you, take the Old Town street car and let it take you for a quick tour around San Diego.
We did this for Leyann's last birthday and had a great time. Tours begin at the Old Town Visitors Center. BOOK AHEAD! They don't accept walk ins.
They have excellent pho and beef stew. NOT VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY for pho. They do have several noodle or rice dishes that are vegetarian/vegan friendly.
There's a location in North Park that has a cooler vibe, but this one is easier to park at. Do yourself a favor and get a BBQ bun on the way out.
All you can eat Korean BBQ
This one's located inside Zion Market. But if you're not also in the mood for sushi, this one's easier to park at. If you're planning to go to Kura Sushi anyway, then Boba Bar's main store shares the same parking lot.
Conveyor belt restaurants are always a fun time. After you're done cross the parking lot to Boba Bar for some frozen treats, or drop by the Dumpling Inn for drinks.
If you're looking to get your sushi grub on, this is an all you can eat establishment that gives you a good bang for your buck. They also have all you can drink options if you're not driving, and allow a la carte ordering if you're not that hungry.
Awesome ramen. Go after 5pm and treat yourself to some yakitori as well!
Get a flight and try 4 flavors! Though you'll probably need to split with a friend unless you're very hungry.
Korean soft serve and taiyaki (Japanese dessert that's like a fish-shaped pancake filled with something sweet. They're great.)
Inventors of the puffle (like a pancake-cone instead of a waffle cone). It's fun to watch them mix with the liquid nitrogen, and if you ask they'll carve your ice cream scoop into a rose.
Like darts, but more badass.
A painting class that also holds a liquor license. They also have non-alcoholic beverages if you'd prefer, and are a short walk away from Liberty Market where you can walk, shop or grab some food.
If you're into true crime tours, mystery games or adventure scavenger hunts, then they may have just the activity for you.
It's a little early for swimming, so bring something warm to change into if you plan to get wet! Otherwise this is a beautiful walk and a nice place to sunbathe.
