We first met hiking in Zion, both on our own journeys, we both had plans to do something different, but after seeing each other on the trail and meeting and talking on the bus we hit it off very well and ended up going on a short hike together. While we were hiking together we decided we would deviate a bit from our original plans and hike The Narrows first thing in the morning on the following day. We went into town together, rented the proper gear and grabbed a bit of food together and bid adieu until the next morning. The next day we met up at the bus and spent hours wading through water sometimes as deep as our shoulders, climbing waterfalls and navigating very difficult terrain, our first date was far from ordinary. With the difficulty and beauty of the hike we quickly connected. We had so much fun that neither of us wanted to leave what we were experiencing. So we decided to head to Bryce Canyon the following day and do some more hiking and spend more time with each other. After Bryce, our trips were nearing our end but we still didn't want it to end. Since we both needed to head back east before we headed home we decided to spend one more day in Durango before finally parting our ways. We really didn't have any plan's after that trip, we just knew that we connected and wanted to continue meeting each other as much as we could. Even though we didn't live near each other we always have found time to meet up as much as we could. The connection we made and the traveling we have done turned that connection into love. The traveling and experiences we have been through turned that love into wanting to spend the rest of our lives together. This led us to a snowmobile trip in Yellowstone where we got engaged at Old Faithful. A symbol of our bond through traveling and experiencing the new and always finding as much time as we can for one another.
