Our Love Story (Felicia’s Version)

We met in 2006, being introduced by our older siblings. I disliked Ivan at first but once he showed me how persistent he was, I eventually gave in. He somehow made his way to every one of my junior league softball games just to see me. Then, my game nights turned into our little date nights. We even shared our first hug and kiss that summer right at the Selma Softball Complex. At our age, some people thought it was puppy love, but I knew right then that it was real. Some months went by and for whatever reason, one day, outside my house, I decided to break up with Ivan(something he will never let me live down lol 😂). To this day, I think I was just more afraid to fall in love than anything.Once we went to high school, and began having separate relationships, I couldn’t stand to see him with anyone else. I knew right away that I had to get him back. Eventually, we ended up getting back together and we've been that way every since. In 2016, we both stepped out on faith and moved to Auburn, beginning our little family with just the two of us. Soon after, in 2018, we found out we were expecting twin boys whom we named Isaiah Dewayne Johnson and Ivan Dewayne Johnson Jr. However, Isaiah did not make it to birth. I personally feel like that was the most devastating thing either of us have ever gone through. Losing a child, tremedously tested our faith but together and with God on our side we made it through. Our relationship has not always been perfect, but one thing I know is that the love we share can never be broken. I honestly believe God made us both for each other. Ivan is my bestfriend/soulmate. The love we have for each other, words just can not explain it. I still find it hard to believe that I’m marrying my very bestfriend. I hope you guys are as ready as I am, because this Journey to Johnson is ending and I'll soon say "I Do" to the Love of My Life.

Ivan’s Version

It started back in 2006 when my big brother was tearing her sister ass up…NO CAP..so I decided to move in on the Lil Tennis Ball Head Ass Girl who were always sitting in the corner quiet. My first move was to find out more about her, by doing so I found out she played softball. I would come to all of her games just to see them lose everyone. But she was always one of the best on the field.(which was a major turn on) After each game I would attempt to impress her by spending my last $2 on a Gatorade and a cheesefries for her, which she will always turn down. But my attempts didn’t go unnoticed and after those games she begin to start letting me get a “Lil Feel” which made my nights. Eventually we decided to get together and “Coat”(as the old people would say). One day I decided to come over her house after being promising a little sexual healing, she was so nervous and scare that she left me on the side of the house harder then 3day ol grits. That night over the phone she broke up with me. Once I decided to turn down the offer to go to the Alabama School of Math And Science and instead go to Selma High. She began to see just what she was missing. I kid you not this girl with the help of all her friends and family ran off every girl that I was with. So one night while she was suppose to be at the basketball game she finally sent “Dat Text”, without hesitation I picked her up in my daddy 98 Tahoe 350,000 miles on the dash but it was clean in the inside. Of course she couldn’t resist the Pretty Rickey playlist and the courage that the Mad Dogg 2020 gave me. After that night we was inseparable. We continued to play Momma and Daddy even after we both graduated. I remember nights Felicia would get dropped off and I would attempt to sneak her out the house, just to have my momma throw pennies at her. Those memories turned into monuments that helped us build to this point. For the full story(with details) look out for the book Journey to Johnson dropping this December.
