Irving: To celebrate Felicia's birthday, we travelled to Aruba for a week of relaxation. Our original plan was to do a party bus on June 24th and dinner(and proposal) on the beach the night of her birthday(June 26) . Of course this plan did not work. Because Aruba was holding their national elections, we had to reschedule the party bus for the 26th and have the beach dinner on the 24th. After partying around the island for 3 hrs on the 26th, Felicia was ready for bed. I wasn't having it and insisted that we have dinner at the resort. After slowing around, we eventually made it to dinner. Felicia: I was exhausted after the party bus and honestly just wanted to order room service. Irving insisted we go to dinner and I obliged. After moving very slow, we made it to dinner and the food was great. After the main course, I was ready for bed. Irving started acting rather strange and claimed he needed to go to the bathroom (in our room, not the restaurant) and would be right back. When he came back he said we needed to have dessert so that the waiters could sing me happy birthday. After singing happy birthday, the waiters left us to eat our dessert. When they came back with the check, Irving asked the waiter to hold his phone. I was really confused. Why are we taking pictures with empty plates?? Before I knew what was happening he was looking at me with googly eyes and asking me if I trusted him. Then there was a box, and ring, and the rest is tears and happiness. After realizing what was going on, I quickly said yes and proceeded to call my family and close friends. I couldn't of asked for a more perfect place to become engaged to my best friend. Aruba is truly one happy island
