Our Story We met at church, where we were part of the same friend group. Hector had been quietly smitten with Felicia for a while but played it cool—well, mostly. Eventually, he asked her out but was quick to insist, “It’s not a date!” (Spoiler: it was totally a date). Felicia thought things were going great, but apparently, she unknowingly committed some mysterious slight (a debate that rages to this day). Hector, convinced Felicia was not interested, stopped pursuing her. Months later, as Felicia was packing up her life to move to China, Hector had a change of heart. “Why not?” he thought, and sent a brave text asking her to get to know her. Felicia, about to leave Arizona for good, decided to give him one more chance. Cue an awkward conversation with her boss that she had already told she was leaving. In the end, life clearly had its own ideas. Felicia found herself falling for the kind, thoughtful guy she almost left behind, and Hector was overjoyed to win the heart of the woman he had been rooting for all along. Now, here we are—getting married and so grateful for every twist and turn that brought us here. ❤️
