our love story

We met in High School through mutual friends and it didn’t take long before we were talking all the time and hanging out. It did take me a couple surprise gift drop offs on the front porch (mainly for Ryan) for him to realize I wasn’t going anywhere so he finally asked me out ;)

To this day I will tell you the date 3.3.12 will always be my favorite, because it's the day he finally asked me to be his girlfriend. During the many years following we went through many ups and downs, together & separately. We never went too long without checking in and catching up though. During my dads liver transplant journey Hayden never failed to let me know he was there for me and while going through that heartbreaking loss of my dad, I finally allowed myself to realize he was the one person I needed the most. Although I was a little too stubborn to admit, he still never stopped reaching out and checking on me. My best friend Alex and my sister are saints for listening to me talk about him for the last 10 years now lol, especially during those times. Fast forward two years later, I was done wasting time and messaged him to see if he was in town and that I needed to see him. The next night I did just that and here we are 3 years later engaged (:

Hayden and I took a trip to Colorado in July of 2018 and went to St. Mary's Glacier, it was breathtakingly beautiful and we of course had my sister take some pictures of us. He told me he would take me back there one day, and little did I know this is where he was going to propose to me 3 years later. In August of 2020 we took a trip back to Colorado with my sister and Sabrina. We had planned to have Shaina take some cute pictures of us again and dress up, because the last time we really made the effort was at our high school Prom and we needed updated pictures :D Of course we went back to St. Mary's Glacier because it was our favorite spot and special to us. As we're taking pictures he tells me there's something he's been wanting to ask me along with other words but I think we both blacked out (good thing Shaina got it all on video). I think I yelled yes before he even finished the sentence. I've only been dreaming about this moment with him since we first got together in High School. WE'RE FINALLY GETTING MARRIED!
