While downtown, make sure to check out Best Of The West's award winners Trail Life Brewing, our go to spot for good eats and drinks and The Gear Junction for all of your outdoor gear needs. If you're in the mood for a well crafted cocktail, Moody's is your place. Sweat tooth? Enstrom's toffee but most importantly don't leave without a scoop of their ice cream. We frequent both Roots & Kiln for our caffeine (and non caff) needs.
We enjoy riding our bikes as a family on the river front trail. This trail extends from Loma to Palisade but feel free to walk, ride, or skip as much of the trail as you wish. There are also a few playgrounds, a disc golf course and bike parks along the way.
Palisade is about a 15 minute drive from Grand Junction, known for their wine and arguably for growing the best peaches in the world. If you have time, head east and enjoy the splendors of this little town either with a wine tasting, a meal, or just a drive to enjoy the scenery.
