We're so excited to welcome you to Munich! We recommend staying in Munich itself for the majority of the time since we plan a little welcome night in Munich on Friday, before we all head out to Ammerang, which is about a 1.5-hour drive from the city. We made some hotel reservations out there for the night of the wedding, but would recommend that you either head back to Munich the day after or continue your travels in a different direction. Hotels/AirBnbs in Munich: The more central you stay, the more expensive it'll get but getting around with public transit it actually pretty easy so we'd recommend to check the distance from your hotel to Marienplatz (main square in downtown Munich) or any other destination that's important to you and select "public transit" to check how far away the hotel is located.
We added a list of recommendations under "Things To Do". However, the website has a character limit, so we had to keep it pretty short. Please reach out to us anytime for more detailed recommendations.
Smart casual for the wedding (for example: dresses for the ladies and suit/button down/or blazer for the men). For the welcome night and the brunch, there's no set dress code. Please dress according to the weather and what you feel most comfortable in.
We would love a cash donation to our honeymoon fund, which is listed under "Registry" on this website. Since we're currently a couple/family "on the move" between two continents, receiving household items doesn't make the most sense for us at this time. Thank you!
Yes, we will provide a shuttle service going from Munich to the wedding location on Saturday and back to Munich on Sunday. We'll also provide a shuttle service from the wedding venue to the surrounding hotels throughout the wedding night.
