In the words of the immortal bard, Rihanna, Felicia and Charlie “found love in a hopeless place.” In the waning days of the pandemic, they found each other on Tinder. After a couple weeks of chatting online, a date was set to meet at the Museum of Natural History. Masks were donned but the suggested 6ft distance was ignored. Something special was immediately apparent. What followed was a nearly 2 year long distance relationship between Jersey City and Brooklyn. Alternating weekends between each other’s homes showed the level of love and commitment each had for the other. They soon agreed that only the weekends were not enough time together, and Felicia made the difficult and selfless decision to move to Jersey City (even though her work commute became shorter). Living together proved to be just as effortless and fun as their prior long distance relationship. They also tackled both international and domestic travel with resounding success, truly perfectly matched travel partners. Their ability to pivot in moments of unexpected changes and work together in unfamiliar situations gave them further confidence in the strength of their relationship. While on one of their trips in Denver, Charlie proposed to Felicia atop Mt. Blue Sky. Thankfully, she said yes (otherwise this website would be awkward).
